Terms of Use
Last updated: September 18, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Couragy app (“the app”) and are an agreement between you and [FULL LEGAL NAME], [STREET AND NUMBER], [POSTCODE AND CITY], Germany (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
1. The app
Couragy is a deck of conversation-starter cards. Some decks are free; others can be unlocked with an in-app purchase. We may add, change or retire decks and features over time.
2. Who can use it
Couragy is intended for adults. Some decks contain romantic and flirtatious questions. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the app only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
3. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial use.
If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store, this licence is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms and Apple’s standard EULA differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content.
4. Purchases
- Paid decks are one-time purchases made through the App Store or Google Play. Payment, billing and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms — we never see your payment details.
- A purchased deck is yours to keep for as long as the app is available and can be restored on another device signed in to the same store account (Settings → Restore Purchases).
- Prices are shown in the store before you buy and include any applicable taxes.
- If you are a consumer in the EU, you agree that delivery of digital content starts immediately after purchase and acknowledge that you therefore lose your right of withdrawal once the deck is unlocked. Refund requests can be made to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or to Google through Google Play.
5. Ads
The free decks may show occasional ads, provided by Google AdMob. Ads are clearly labelled and never interrupt a question. How ad data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Content and intellectual property
All questions, card illustrations, design and code in Couragy are original and owned by us or our licensors. You may share individual questions with friends — that’s the point — but you may not copy, sell, republish or redistribute the decks, the artwork or the app, in whole or in substantial part, or use them to build a competing product.
7. Using the app responsibly
Couragy asks questions; you decide what to answer and what to share. Please be kind with each other, respect when someone would rather pass, and don’t use the app to pressure anyone. The questions are for conversation and entertainment — they aren’t therapy, counselling or professional advice.
8. Availability
We work to keep the app running well, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may update the app to fix issues, improve it or meet legal and platform requirements.
9. Liability
We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of an essential contractual obligation (one whose fulfilment makes the proper use of the app possible and on which you may regularly rely), and only up to the damage typically foreseeable at the time of purchase. Otherwise, our liability is excluded. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add new features or when the law changes. We’ll update the date at the top, and where a change materially affects you, we’ll let you know in the app before it takes effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
